Currently I am in South Carolina visiting family for the holiday. It was quite a trek to get here (baby, bad weather, unexpected layovers), but we are happier than ever to be spending time with the fam. My mom (whom I refer to as Momma Sheila), is going crazy over little little Lilypad. No surprise, as the rest of the family is nuts about her too.
SC is quite a change from Vegas, although the beach breeze cannot be beat. The laid back atmosphere is really nice, but I don’t miss the humidity or the flying bugs. Lol.
Today on the 4th, we are relaxing and chilling. It’s sooo hot outside, so we aren’t going back onto the beach again until this evening. That seems to be the best time to enjoy the ocean.
For this southern holiday edition of Tea Tuesday, it comes as no surprise that I’m sharing sweet tea. Sweet tea is a southern tradition. I don’t drink it too often anymore, but I seriously still love it, and anytime I’m in the south I want a cold sweet tea. (And a Cheerwine…local know what I’m talking about!)
I added an antioxidant kick to this easy recipe.
Simply add your green tea ice cubes to equal parts sweet tea + lemonade!
You can easily buy premed sweet tea & lemonade, or if you’re feeling energetic, make it all homemade.
Enjoy! Happy 4th!
