Today, I am setting myself free. I am liberating myself from the chains of the past, by offering myself complete and wholesome forgiveness- right now, in the present. Human beings make mistakes, and no one expects me to be an exception of that rule. Mistakes are part of human nature- they are meant to be learned from, healed from, NOT controlled or tormented by. The mistakes I have made in the past do not define me – I am so much bigger and so much more complex than that- than any one decision I made, in one moment of time. So, it’s time to let it go. It is time for me to cut myself some slack. It is time to move on and move forward, by compassionately forgiving myself for any and all past mistakes, NOW. It’s OK, ok? I am ok. I am not perfect, and that, above all, is ok. Making mistakes is very fucking normal in fact- there is not one human being who gets through life mistake free. So, I can stop beating myself up now. I am freely offering myself compassion, understanding, and forgiveness so that I can move on and move forward with my life. Whether I didn’t know any better, whether I lacked the guidance, or whether I just plain messed up, I forgive myself. It’s DONE. It’s over. I am accepting and embracing all of the lessons my mistakes have to teach me, and I am grateful for the wisdom I now have as a result. Life is not about perfection, life is a process through which we all learn and grow. Every day, every moment in fact, is an opportunity to make new choices. To show up differently. Every single moment can be a clean slate if I have the courage and awareness to treat it as one. Now, in this moment, I am offering all past transgressions up to the Universe for divine healing and resolution.
