Gender Reveal + Week 13 Baby Update

Rounding out the end of Week 13, our little tot is the size of a sweet Georgia peach!

This week has been a pretty exciting one! I felt the baby move for the first time, and honestly, it scared the daylights out of me. I jumped about 20 feet out of the bed and actually thought I had an alien inside of me for a moment.  Luckily I came to my senses and realized that this is only the first of many exciting little movements!

(Speaking of peaches, are your peaches ripe now? Oh my, I have been eating peaches non-stop lately because they are perfectly in season and couldn’t be any sweeter!) I keep wanting to make a delicious peach recipe, but I can’t stop eating them all fresh! I guess the baby just wants raw fruit, and that’s fine by me.

This week I came across a clinic called, Miracle In Progress. Some of my friends had visited the clinic with rave reviews.  Due to their state of the art technology and skilled technicians, they guarantee a correct gender reveal at 14 weeks.  Since (yesterday) I was only 2 days shy of 14 weeks, they said my little belly would be perfectly acceptable for examination.

We did a standard, 3D, and 4D high definition ultrasound. Also we heard the heartbeat for the first time! It was a beautiful moment!

We already love our sweet peach like there is no tomorrow, and without further ado…

We are having a baby girl!!

Can we please go ahead and start decorating already?!?! 🙂

Here is her little ultrasound! She’s such a cute little tot.  I started crying tears of joy when I heard the news. I had been receiving so many signs that I was carrying a girl; the news just overwhelmed me with emotion.  It was the sweetest thing to see Shane’s face too. He is going to be such a sweet daddy.  I already see him developing into the role of a father.

Thank you to all of your kind words, comments, and emails about our baby! I want to keep you updated but at the same time not be baby-obnoxious. Lol! Before next week’s update, there will be a delicious new recipe coming up along with a beauty post that my healthy gals won’t want to miss!

Tomorrow is the dawn of Week 14! I wonder what fruit baby she will be next week?
