Did you know that the thoughts you think can actually create physiological responses? The mind and body are inexplicably intertwined. Some thoughts can trigger your “fight or flight” response, which keeps your body in a state of stress.. not at all conducive to recovery. Other thoughts can bring your body to a relaxed state, allowing it to focus on self-healing. This affirmation episode is about intentionally using your mind to help your body. Your mind can be a powerful ally if you know how to harness it for healing.

Releasing Physical Pain: Calming Affirmations for Healing & Recovery

With each and every breath, I am bringing myself into a calming and relaxed state of being. My inhales are long and deep, and my exhales are slow to release. From this place of deep, pure relaxation, I offer my body the opportunity to heal. To recover. To release any tension that’s stuck inside of muscles, joints, tissues, or cells. I am imagining a beaming, comforting ray of light-  a soft, bright, and gentle healing light washing over my body now from head to toe. Realigning and revitalizing every cell. I am freeing myself from pain by breathing into it, relaxing, and allowing my body to do what it was born to do- which is heal itself. My body is so wise, and I am so strong. I trust the process. I find comfort in the process. I am so patient. I am optimistic, knowing that the healing journey begins with me. I am attuning myself to the signals my body is sending me- I am listening to the messages that pain is trying to communicate. I am taking care of myself by listening and responding to these signals. I am taking the necessary steps my body needs me to take, to further facilitate the healing process. I am working with my body to heal myself. I am my body’s friend. I love my body and my body loves me. I am continuing to take long, slow deep breaths, remaining tranquil and serene, transporting myself to a place of peace and comfort. I am safe. I am healing. I am glowing. I am allowing and inviting my body to heal itself. I am allowing and inviting my body to free itself from anything that doesn’t belong. I am full of vibrant vitality and powerful life force energy. I am fully capable of recovering, and I begin to do so now.
