How are you doing with your ’18 New Years resolutions?

Alex and I are doing pretty well with our 2018 intentions, and we have majorly been getting shit done. I don’t love to set “resolutions” per se, but I do like to stick to a morning routine, continue eating healthy, and most of all spend time being productive not “busy.”

To keep myself focused and productive, smoothies are a lifesaver – literally!

I know how it is to have difficulty managing and balancing our lives – parenting, business, eating healthy, exercise… The list goes on.

Smoothies, green smoothies in particular, are the best way to eat a convenient, nutrient dense breakfast.  THIS smoothie has an entire head of romaine lettuce inside. It’s actually SO amazing though, even though that may sound frightening to some. Romaine lettuce, like baby spinach, has almost no flavor so you won’t have that grassy flavor, but you WILL have tons of minerals and nutrients.

Speaking of that, minerals and nutrients are essential for our beauty routine. For example, romaine lettuce is so high in iron and water content, it’s one of those beautifying foods that fight fat and cellulite. As our body gets more alkaline (from eating smoothies like this!), our bodies kill the fat and also build more collagen. Strengthening and building your collagen will keep your body snd skin more resilient.

Try incorporating more veggies and fruit into your diet and you’ll see immediate benefits in the way you look & feel.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Head Romaine
  • 1 Cup Pomegranate Juice unsweetened
  • 1 Apple skin on
  • 1 Pear skin on
  • 1 Celery Stalk
  • 1/2 Cucumber
  • 2 T Hemp Seeds
  • Handful Mint Leaves
  • Ice

DIRECTIONS

  1. Blend in high powered blender or Vitamix.
