Sip your way into the festive season with my new Cardamom Apple Berry Smoothie. It’s nourishing and packed with it’s almost-time-for-the-holidays vibes.
I loooove spices, especially cardamom! I feel like it’s a very much underused spice in recipes I come across. If you love cardamom like I do, also check out Kardashian Apple Tea, Gingerbread Chia Pudding, and my White Velvet Smoothie.
Let’s break down the goodness in every sip:
Why These Ingredients Are Amazing:
Apple: High in fiber for digestion and gut health. The skin of the apple contains quercetin, a powerful antioxidant that supports immunity (a must during holiday season!).
Mixed Berries: Packed with antioxidants that fight inflammation and boost heart health. Low in sugar but high in vitamins like C and K, plus manganese.
Medjool Dates: Natural sweetness without refined sugar. They’re full of potassium and magnesium, which help with muscle recovery.
Cinnamon: One of the most powerful antioxidants in the spice world. Supports stable blood sugar levels and boosts metabolism.
Cardamom: An anti-inflammatory spice that aids digestion and brings cozy, holiday spice vibes. Full of essential minerals like magnesium and zinc.
Dairy-Free Yogurt: Protein for muscle repair and probiotics for gut health. Choose a low-sugar variety for max nutrition.
Almond Milk: rich in vitamin E, which supports healthy skin and hair.
Chia Seeds: These tiny powerhouses deliver omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and protein. Great for energy and satiety.
Flaxseeds: Full of fiber, lignans, and omega-3s to support heart health and balance hormones.
Baby Spinach: Virtually tasteless in a smoothie but loaded with vitamins A, C, and K for immune support and glowing skin. The only difference this will make is your smoothie will be less vibrant red, BUT more nutrient-dense!
