Alex’s FAVORITE thing for breakfast is Acai bowls. Prior to our relationship, I’m not sure if I ever had an Acai bowl, but now the Alex likes them so much, I started making them for our breakfasts.
They are really easy to make and actually quite fun! It’s basically just a thick smoothie in a bowl with fun tropical toppings. The great thing is that it’s really easy to find Acai smoothie packs or Acai powder in your local health food store, or of course, Amazon.
Acai is a berry native to Brazil and it pears will with all things sweet and tropical. Acai isn’t naturally very sweet, so it definitely needs some dates to bring out the flavor.
Lily was obsessed with this smoothie! She could not get enough. I’ve realized she is pretty keen for tropical flavored smoothies. Anytime there is pineapple, mango, or coconut in a smoothie she eats ALL of it.
