Last fall I came across Kardashian Apple Tea on Poosh’s website (Kourtney Kardashian’s wellness site), and I was super intrigued. I had been googling herbal tea recipes to try for the winter so I could switch up my Anti-Flu Tea & Russian Tea, and Apple Tea sounded seriously divine.
It’s caffeine-free and full of warming spices and roots. Warmed herbal teas are some of my favorite drinks, and especially during the fall & winter season.
I tested out the Kardashian apple tea via an Instagram reel for Tea Tuesday this week, so I wanted to share it here on the blog plus share the benefits of the spices & roots used in the recipe. The full VIDEO REEL is here.
The ingredients in this tea are known to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which can help to boost the immune system and reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
And if you need another reason to be obsessed with spices, you’ll wanna check out a post from way back, Beauty Benefits of Your Favorite Spices.
Turmeric
Turmeric contains curcumin, a compound with powerful anti-inflammatory effects, and many use turmeric for natural pain relief.
Cardamom
Cardamom is rich in antioxidants, and the scent of cardamom (diffusing the oil or your tea’s aroma) may help in treating sleep issues like insomnia, restlessness, or anxious feelings.
Ginger
Ginger contains compounds that may reduce nausea and inflammation, and has been used traditionally as a remedy for colds and flu.
Cinnamon
Cinnamon is known to be one of the highest antioxidant foods on the planet, and may help to lower blood sugar levels in people with diabetes.
Cloves
Cloves contain eugenol, a compound that has been found to have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. Cloves also high in antioxidants!
Let me know if you try this recipe and/or if you’ve made it before!
I made this recipe very similarly to the Kardashian apple tea, except I used fresh turmeric & ginger, and 2 apples instead of 1. Oh, and more cloves 🙂
Enjoy!
