Has your new year energy and motivation slowed down?
I’ve noticed this happening with people I have come into contact with lately, especially over the last month. It seems like mid-February people’s mindset and energy shifted in a downward trend.
Yesterday I was listening to Stormy Wellington (she’s awesome and will totally kick your butt into high gear!). She shared a tip that really made sense to me and gave me extra energy for the rest of the day. She said, “what if you treated every Monday like it was the start of a new year?”
I love thought provoking questions.
Seriously, WHAT IF?
What IF you treat the start of each new week like you do at the start of each new year? What would be different for you?
Would you feel more energized? More hopeful? Would you be more productive? Would you waste less time? Would you set strategic goals? Would you have a clear vision for what you really wanted? Would you focus on what matters?
Think about what you typically do around New Years.
You might release what is no longer serving you, part ways with your past, forgive yourself for what you did or didn’t do, and most of all you may simply leave it all behind for a fresh, new start. All while feeling hopeful for whats to come, and excited knowing that good things are on their way.
Why don’t we do this all the time??
Imagine how your week would transpire if you let go of whatever unfolded the week prior. What could you do differently if you let the past (week) be the past, and you were truly excited about what you were stepping into on Monday.
How can you hold onto the energy of the new year every single Monday?
My advice would be to keep something close by that reminds you to BE in the present moment, to let go of the past, and to LIVE the New Years energy.
The affirmation I wrote goes like this:
I wake up with that new year feeling and energy every morning. Releasing the past, and living in the moment. I am hopeful and excited for whats to come. Amazing things happen to me every day.

Feel free to use this affirmation anytime you need it.
You could write a simple note, put it on your phone’s Lock Screen, or write it in lipstick on your mirror.
Perhaps there is a crystal or a photo that reminds you of New Years and every time you see this item it reminds you to shake it off and step back into your New Years energy.
