Chilly Chai Smoothie

This week I had been dreaming of a Chai smoothie. Lily and I were planning to find a pumpkin patch to take cute photos in. It’s actually not easy to find a pretty pumpkin patch here; we went last week and the pumpkins were just not cute enough (seriously!).

So, instead we went to The District to walk around, enjoy the weather, and go to (window) shopping at Janie and Jack. Omg moms, have you been to Janie & Jack?? Uhhhh it’s the cutest! It’s pretty darn expensive for kids clothes, which is fine, but considering she will only wear the outfit once, it’s difficult to justify! We ended up buying her a really cute dress that was on sale that she can wear next spring. We’ll probably go back and pick her out a really fabulous holiday outfit, but I needed a little more time to decide. Anyways it was a fun afternoon. The weather is gorgeous here right now, and I just want to be outside.

 

Later that day we made a really yummy chai smoothie. I’m in a Chai mood lately! Miss Lilygoat tasted this smoothie and went crazy for it! This was the first time she tasted spices. I was so excited for her. She kept laughing and smacking her lips! She was probably trying to figure out the sensation. It was adorable.

It’s great that my food is healthy enough for Lily to taste too (well, most things are). This smoothie is pure and flavorful – no refined sugars – no preservatives – no dairy – just pure wholesome food.

I LOVE chai spices because of the over the top antioxidant properties. You can seriously get 3 days worth of antioxidants in one cup!

Hurry and make this one, because I can’t wait for you to try it!

Chilly Chai Smoothie

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Frozen Banana
  • 2 Ripe Pears
  • 3-4 Medjool Dates pitted
  • 1/2 Cup Almond Milk unsweetened
  • 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 Tsp Ginger
  • 1/4 Tsp Clove
  • 1/4 Tsp Cardamom
  • Ice

DIRECTIONS

  1. Blend!
