This Sunday’s smoothie is a simple banana shake with a festive touch.

Banana smoothies are one of my favorites because I always have ripe bananas on hand, they are really easy to make, and they are satisfying.

I used dried Butterfly Pea Flowers to naturally dye this smoothie. Of course, this doesn’t change the flavor, so if you don’t have them, no worries. It’s just a cute touch for July 4th!

A small handful of baby spinach would be a great nutritious bonus in this recipe…just be aware that it will change the color! Green is always a good idea, but its not always the prettiest! lol.

Keepin’ the blog short today because it’s time to get back to family! (I’m in South Carolina with the fam for the holiday).

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Bananas
  • 1 Pear
  • 3 Medjool Dates pitted
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 Cup Non-Dairy Milk
  • 1/4 Cup Butterfly Pea Flowers
  • Handful Ice
