This chocolate antioxidant smoothie is simply delicious, not to mention, healthy!
When I started eating a plant-based diet, I was so excited to learn about unsweetened cocoa powder. (I don’t know why I wasn’t aware of it before!)
Mainly, because cocoa powder allowed me to eat SO many new things! Finally, I realized I wasn’t limited in my choices at all. Surprisingly, this one little ingredient opened my eyes to lots of great recipes that were both healthy and satisfied my sweet tooth.
Also, I loved the fact that I could make any kind of chocolate treat that tasted delicious. In short, the secret is to sweeten the cocoa powder with whole fruits. As a matter of fact, I never even missed the dairy.
As a matter of fact, I love adding cocoa powder into all kinds of recipes. A great example are my Pumpkin Spider Web Donuts. So, of course, smoothies are one of my favorite ways to satisfy my sweet tooth. Smoothies are also an easy way to help me get my daily intake of vitamins and whole foods.
Plus, this smoothie recipe has a double dose of chocolate antioxidants! Ultimately, antioxidants fight off free radicals, which equals younger looking skin.
So, if you love chocolate, you’ll seriously love this chocolate antioxidant smoothie recipe.
Lastly, here is a great tip for all the mama’s out there. You can also hide your greens in this smoothie. As a matter of fact, your children will never know you added baby spinach! Plus, it won’t change the flavor or color.
I hope you enjoy!
